PAINT?!?!?!? Not so much....

My mom came over on Tuesday after work and we got started on the painting. First, we finished the primer

Then we got to painting the color we had chosen: Earth Tone. When Chris got home from work he joined the fun too



At first I LOVED it, and I couldn't stop raving. Me and my mom gabbed and gabbed about how much we liked the color. But after the whole room was done, I was a little unsure, I felt like the brown was too orange

I thought, "Maybe it will look better after the second coat." So, last night we painted a portion of the wall with a second coat and I still didn't like it :( In fact, you can't even really tell the difference

So, we went to Home Depot late last night to get 3 new samples to try them out.

I got another brown, and two greens. So far, after one coat the new brown looks almost exactly the same as the old brown, but I really like the middle green. We'll see what they look like with a second coat

That will have to wait though, because in 30 minutes (in which time I will take a shower and finish packing, good luck with that)........WE'RE OFF TO BEN & JERRY'S IN VERMONT!!!!

Chris loves ice cream more than anything, and B & J is his favorite, so I have planned five days in Vermont to go on a factory tour and visit all the fun stuff the state has to offer like state parks, a Normal Rockwell Museum, a Maple Syrup Museum, an Underground Railroad Museum, a Granite Museum, hot air balloon rides, amatuer baseball teams, flea markets, a Ski Museum and TONS of other stuff. I'm so excited. And of course, no trip planned by Meryl comes without a binder, complete with itinerary and tabs organizing each region of the state :) (you should have seen the baseball trip binder)
