I Spoke Too Soon

Well, the back of our house looks like a disaster zone. Saturday, after we opened up the walls I anticipated some hard work, but that the task wouldn't be horrendous. Well, it's pretty horendous now. We worked long and hard yesterday and pretty much just did MORE demo and barely started repairs. We had to tear down the steps, remove the other window, cut away more stucco, cut out more original framing, and now we have a HUGE hole in the corner of the house

Pretty damn depressing. We've come to realize that we REALLY need to focus on getting the projects we have started FINISHED (instead of operable) before moving onto other ones. Also, we have to really understand that this is a nearly 100 year old house and pretty much every single wall that gets opened up is going to have A LOT of things wrong with it, and sometimes it's better not to open up that can of worms, or now as I have decided, HOUSE of worms.

Our trash pile is back in full force as well

After a REALLY depressing day yesterday we ended up having a LOVELY evening when my mom, Clarke, and Erik came over to have tacos and play Rock Band, and Beatles Rock Band (thanks mom and Clarke!). We had a GREAT time and it certainly made for a cheerful and raucous evening!

Thanks for making a WONDERFUL night out of a crappy day!!!
