No Rain, No Roof

Our roofers need at least 3 solid days in a row with no rain to get started on the roof (but preferrably 4-5 to get it all DONE). Last week they were supposed to get started on Monday, but it was forcasted to rain all week. Well, it didn't rain until FRIDAY. Each day it said the NEXT was rain, but there never WAS rain, so they could never get started. Grrrr. And we got pushed back to this week.

It's looking like the same thing again THIS week. Yesterday there was no rain, yet it was forcasted today. I looked on the weather today, now NO RAIN but it is forcasted tomorrow. Ahh! The good thing is there is none forcasted for Wednesday and Thursday and I HOPE IT STAYS THAT WAY and I hope there is also no rain Friday and Saturday so we can FINALLY get the roof done.

It sucks because the roofers are just as in limbo as we are about it and it's really frustrating that the weather has been COMPLETELY wrong. It was supposed to rain ALL last week, but only did one day. Then it was supposed to rain ALL this week, and now it's only forcasted for tomorrow.

So this is the big question, what the hell does a meteorologist actually do if they are wrong ALL THE TIME?

Just be glad you're not doing the roof yourself and trying to schedule based on the forecast.

That's one nice thing about California summers -- no rain, so roofing is easier. Though we get enough fog up here that I had to cover the roof with a tarp back when I did our roof.

You did your roof yourself?!?!?!? Man, that is impressive!

Roofing is pretty easy if you don't mind heights. Though your roof is quite a bit steeper than ours, and you've got that fun turret, too.
