The Attic is CLEAN!!!

A few months ago I started working on cleaning the attic (dirty from leftover roof re-doing debris). It took A LOT longer than Chris and I anticipated.

My first attempted yielded little results after 3 1/2 spent sweeping, vacuuming and coughing

This project has been a thorn in our side for the last 2 months or so. I HATE going up and cleaning in the attic - it's stuffy, hot, uncomfortable, and not a pleasant breathing environment when you're kicking up 1,000 sq. ft. of asphalt shingle debris. As a result we've gone up and cleaned in 30 minute to one hour stints. It's made the experience a lot more tolerable, but also made it take a lot longer than it probably should.

Chris and I have slowly gone section by section and vacuumed, swept and cleaned, except the nook that is extremely difficult to get to towards the back of the house - no one's ever really going to get over there anyway...

We've vacuumed up A LOT of dust, dirt, and shingle turds

Look at that LOVELY vacuum filter

It makes a big vacuum sucking difference once it's cleaned out

We filled up almost our entire garbage container with all of the debris

And after all of that work, last week we FINALLY got the attic all cleaned out, yay!!!
