Sorry for the long absence. We've been up to this for the last couple of days

We headed out to my dad and Wendy's house on Thursday evening right after work and didn't get back till late last night. We built a fence. Or, parts of a fence. Let's just say the project did not go according to plan at all. There were lots of frustrated, exhaustion induced temper tantrums. In the end it became hilarious because of everything that was going wrong. Can't you just tell in my notes? (we literally had to measure certain sections 5 times because we kept getting things wrong)

We'll have to head out there again sometime in the near future to
finish the project, but here were some very humorous things that were uttered by us during those oh so entertaining 3 days of fence "building"
"Measure it wrong so you have a 20% chance of being right."
"Should we all measure and divide by 3?"
"You could unscrew it to get better leverage."
"That would be too easy."
"Yeah, this way you can chew up the wood and maybe even crack it."
"I'm CalTrans-ing it." (which if you're from California you'd know that meant we're just sitting around watching someone else do work)
"We're measuring this a fifth time?"
"You sure about that?"
"No."
"At least it's funny now."
"Well, we're just drunk on failure."
Ahhhhh, projects that don't go according to plan. Big props to my dad and Wendy for sticking with us even when the fence we planned started, well, not going great. And hopefully their neighbors don't mind a half built fence for a week or two :)
