I'm so happy our house doesn't look like that anymore. We originally weren't going to paint the house till later in the summer/early fall after we finished the animal room and the back bathroom. But once we were mostly done with the animal room (still not totally finished...) and the weather was good, we decided, screw it, let's paint the house now.
We were hoping that it wouldn't take nearly as long as it has, but the amount of prep work has been pretty extensive
Which is great news because I've been itch itch itching to talk about all the projects we've had to tackle in order to get ready for Juan and his wife to paint our house. Like replacing a few small windows, reglazing dozens of windows, getting a new big window in the front of the house, painting a new corbel, power washing, figuring out trim, repairing the birdhouse, rerouting the heater exhaust and many others.
So now that the project is finally close to being complete I'll start filling you in next week on all the crazy, interesting and annoying projects we undertook and all the fun decisions that we had to make. And maybe I'll even finally finish the animal room to give you two Before & Afters to look forward to.
Have a good weekend!

I'm dying to know the colors. Have you already revealed them?
Because the house is so interesting architecturally I was really nervous about the color choice, so I played it really safe, but I do LOVE them. When we were working on the garage last year we painted the front of it, so you can see a little mini preview of the house colors on the Before & After garage post
