Let's Cover Some Stains

We might have fixed the floors a great amount, but with a fabulous table we're building we still need a rug for the room for the table to sit on. With bold colored chairs and a colorful fabric butt I knew I wanted to go with white, grays or black for the rug. I figured that if I got a pattern in more simple colors the chairs and table would still pop off it, but that the rug could still be fun.

I perused stores but found that Overstock and Rugsusa.com provided the best deal for the size we wanted to go with (7'6" x 9'6"). I searched and searched for a few weeks waiting to see what would pop up, and finally I landed on a bunch that I really liked. Per my and Chris' decorating rules (I find several choices, he whittles them down, I make the final pick) I brought him in to choose his favorites

Rug #3 was initially my favorite, but it seemed to be Chris' least favorite. And it was also the most expensive, so that one got nixed. It was just up to Rug #1 and #2. I wasn't super sure which one I liked better, but I knew #1 was Chris' favorite. I was a little afraid that the bold pattern would be a bit too much for the room, but ultimately I liked it better too. So I set aside the fear of choosing too bold of a pattern and bit the bullet.

It was originally priced for $556.30, but with a 50% off coupon and and free shipping it came in at $278.15. Score! $278.15 for a 7'6" x 9'6" rug sounds good to me!

It arrived a couple days ago to a thump on the porch

And dragging that sucker into the house while sick (yes I am sick AGAIN and for a few days was actually speechless because of so much congestion and a sore throat), was just a little difficult. But it did make it inside

Now I'm even more eager to get the tiling done so we can lay this baby out! (no one wants to get thinset and grout on a brand new rug) And then get the table built!
