So when I pulled up to the house and saw a bunch of packages...
But then I looked at the shipping label
When we placed the order last Monday, 4/30 the lady told me as I was hanging up the phone, "And please remember these will take 4-5 weeks." In my head I was thinking, "Hurry up and hang up the phone then so you can process my order!" And as Heather expressed, 4-5 weeks is like 9 years in renovation time. Yes, yes it is.
So when our door and drawer fronts arrived on the doorstep in 1/2 the time, I squealed in excitement. Literally. I brought them inside and called Chris to told him they came and asked, "Can I open them before you get home!!??" (there was no way I could wait)
Out came the scissors and I carefully opened one at a time. And when I got the first package opened I believe my exact quote was, "Ooohhh, yeah, that's good, ooohhh," to which I immediately realized I sounded like a complete creeper. But they looked so beautiful.
The drawer fronts
And the solid wood doors
Well, I'm not quite sure about that yet actually. I tried to hold things up to make sure we got all the measurements correct so that the drawers and drawer fronts all fit correctly, but with only one set of hands it proved to be a tad difficult. Chris should be getting home within the next 30 minutes or so, so we'll be able to get it all figured out then. Keep your fingers crossed for us!!! If it all works like it's supposed to (lord, please) I'll be doing some staining this weekend :) And hopefully attaching hardware soon!
