About 2 months ago our first post on Tinkernation went up and Chris and I were really excited. We thought it was super cool to share our love of old buildings and our love of travel. And I teased in our post on this here blog that we had a pretty awesome project up our sleeves that we couldn't wait to share, and now my friends, that time is here: WE'RE GOING ON A RENOVATION ROADTRIP!!!
What the hell does that mean you ask? It means that come October 12th Chris and I will hop in our car with as many tools as we can possibly fit and drive across the country over 2 weeks visiting 5 amazing house bloggers and help out on their houses for a day. How positively awesome is that???? It's pretty much a dream that's how awesome it is.
On to the next question: who are we visiting??? Well, the internet is a wonderful place and over the last 3+ years of blogging we've made some awesome internet friends and when Chris and I reached out to them they shared our excitement and joined in on the fun.
First up on the adventure are Nikki, Marc, Franca and a bun in the oven over at 86'n It in North Carolina
We'll head up north to visit Michigan and a duo of awesome house bloggers: Katy and Brandon and another bun in the oven over at Turtle House
And Kit at DIY Diva
After our Michigan fun we'll drive on over to Wisconsin to meet Sara, Shaun and little Mr. Ashford at Russet St. Reno
And word is I may be signed up to change my first ever diaper... :)
Then we'll head back to the West Coast and visit Heather and Greg of Just a Girl with a Hammer (and Heather is a fellow Tinkernation blogger)
How is that for a fucking awesome adventure?
And of course none of this would be possible without the amazing support of Tinkernation and Liquid Wrench and the awesome bloggers who are letting us invade their homes. Although there are still (JUST UNDER) two months till we leave on this crazy adventure there is still lots of planning to be done (and as a complete nerd, I'm just as excited for the planning). You can read more about the adventure at Tinkernation and my post over there this morning. As well as the other adventurers blogs! (86'n It, Turtle House, DIY Diva, Russet St. Reno and Just a Girl with a Hammer) We'll be posting about all the fun leading up to the trip and then the trip itself all over at Tinkernation. We'll make sure to feature some fun over here as well of course :)
So there you have it folks, come October 12th we'll take our Tinker on the road for a pretty fucking awesome adventure!
