We arrived home last night around 7:30pm or so. Chris and I were very sad to have the trip be over. Sigh...After so many wonderful visits with so many wonderful bloggers it was really sad to come to the realization that after 2 weeks getting to travel around and visit people that the trip was done.
I know I was a SUPER bad blogger during our trip, so I promise to update everyone on all the awesome projects we worked on next week. Unfortunately today I've got a bunch of in real life work to get caught up on so this post is super short, but I PROMISE next week I'll be back in full swing.
Oh, and I'll fill you in on the HORRIBLE job the flooring refinishers did. If you follow us on Facebook or Twitter you may have found out last night the "welcome" we got when we came home: terribly uneven stain, unstained nail holes everywhere, completely missed areas, stain on our walls (that's not even including the stain all over the baseboards, it's on the WALLS too), poly on our doors, and an overall FILTHY house. I called the company the second we got home to leave a message to complain. Looks like they'll be coming over so we can have a lengthy talk with them and they'll be paying to have our house professionally cleaned and there's no way we're paying the full price of what we "owe" them. Chris and I stood in the kitchen last night pissed and Chris said, "I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed that we can stain the floors ten times better than a professional on our first try." Bleh.
Alright, next week I'll have a ton o' posts for you filling you in on our visits with Turtle House, DIY Diva, Russet St. Reno and Just a Girl with a Hammer (you can read about our visit with 86'N It here) and hopefully news to share about our floors. Until then, it's time to get caught up with the 300+ emails in my inbox...
