A Question for you Fine Folk

Alright people, I've been blogging now for 3 1/2 years, and I think it's high time I got some advice from you readers about this here blog. I think I need a bit of a refresher. Maybe some changes to the pages, layout adjustments, different kinds of posts, etc. What do you think?

When we were on the renovation roadtrip I was talking about this with Heather and she had some really good ideas: the header will get adjusted (for some reason despite the super high resolution of the photos, some of them still came out grainy), the "Before & After" page will get a bit of a refresher (isn't that the page everyone goes to anyway?) and we're going to start a series called "Ask Meryl & Chris" where we'll do "How To" posts about questions you guys have (because, let's be honest, I'm entertaining, but Chris actually knows what's going on). Aren't those good ideas? I thought they were positively awesome. Thanks Heather!

Also, I finally convinced Chris to post more on the blog, hooray! We've been pretty busy still getting the house back in order since we've gotten back, but I'm hoping he'll start posting soon! :)

Alright, so those are the updates that are happening so far, but what ideas do you guys have?

What can make our blog look better?

What can make our blog read better?

Anything you'd like to see more of?

Anything you'd like to see less of?

What do you think? What do you think???

Annnnnd go!

Content-wise, I like your blog the way it is. Visually, maybe more color? Like a background (not behind the text, but behind everything so it appears off to the side of the text on left and right.)

I'm with Gene on the content part - I like it the way it is. For my old eyes, maybe bigger pics? But...I don't have a blog so I have no clue how some of them get big pics... :)
Found you from Sara by the way.

Content = awesome.

Buy a template! Best money I ever spent. I used Blogmilkshop.com because I'm on blogger. I'm sure there are tons of others. Think I paid $40 and then customized with my own colors.

Look for a template with a larger content area bigger = larger photos.

I want more pictures of the two of you!! Also do the larger/wider template to make your photos 640px - a great size. That's what she said. :)
