Merry Christmas

Our tradition for the last 5 or so years is to not go ANYWHERE on Christmas. And I love it. Instead, we make something fun for breakfast (huevos rancheros on the menu this year), we watch movies all day, make our "Best of 2012" movie list, plan out what we're going to work on for the house next year and generally be lazy. We of course top it off with Chinese food for dinner. But our favorite Chinese restaurant doesn't deliver so we actually have to leave the house to get it. Gasp! :) I usually decree that NO WORK IS ALLOWED. But, we're making really good progress in the back bathroom with the mud and tape (more on that early next week when I hope to reveal the paint that will be going on soon as well), and because the texture takes a day to dry with each layer, I've allowed Chris to work on it for 30 minutes. Me on the other hand? I will likely be in my pajamas on the couch the whoooollllle day long. And it will be marvelous.

We've be seeing some of Chris family this week and my family's belated Festivus celebration will be next Sunday. The presents have already been rolling in, which is pretty exciting. Cashew is already getting loaded up

Baby bath, monitors, diapers, carriers, a cool bassinet swing thing and the stroller. My brother and his wife are getting us a car seat too. I guess all we need now is Cashew and we're set ;) Juuuuust kidding :)

But possibly the most adorable thing we've gotten?

These cute little shoes Chris' boss gave us. Awwwww :)

So if you celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a fantabulous one. And if you don't, I hope you have a great day off. And if you are an amazing person that has a job that runs 365 days a year, you are awesome and I hope you have a great day!
