(and you can click all the floorplan pics to make them bigger)
Our house is sort of built in two parts - the living front and the sleeping back. The two halves are divided by the hallway. The front of the house has the front room, TV room, nook and kitchen
The front room is slightly ridiculous at the moment, though not as bad as it was before
One day the front room won't be so full of junk. And it will actually have our sports ticket table sitting on that rug. That will be a wonderful day.
The TV room is done
As is the kitchen
This room was actually the first room we ever worked on. We had it gutted before we were even fully moved in.
The nook has't really ever been touched. It's really just a storage ground for HD returns, extra paper towels, ridiculous amounts of packing material waiting to be disposed of and any other junk we randomly toss in here
Then there's the hallway that splits the front from the back. At one end of the hallway is our main bathroom
The back of the house has the bedrooms - one of which we use as my art room/office, our actual bedroom and then the 3rd we use as Chris' office
It's wonderful to have my art room/office done (for the second time)
Our bedroom is a work in progress, but it's coming along really well now that it's painted and all we really need to do is organize our closet and build our bed
Chris' office (like the nook) is a room that has been virtually untouched. We've done some electrical work in here, but other than that nothing really has been done
For how unattractive it is, it actually doesn't need much work. Just some ceiling repair and new paint. It's considered the 3rd bedroom in our house, but there are 3 doorways off of it (from the hall, from the front room and into the laundry room), so I don't know how practical of a bedroom it actually is.
Then there's the way, way back of the house. Most of this area used to be a porch that was enclosed at some point. There's Zoe's room, the back bathroom and the laundry room.
Zoe's room used to be my office, but now it's looking snazzy as a baby's room
Our back bathroom's entrance used to be off of the laundry room, but we installed a pocket door and made it open from our bedroom
Lastly there's our laundry room. The small area we've been working on is original to the house
But the rest of the room (that we haven't worked on yet) used to be the enclosed porch
So there you have it - years into blogging and I've finally drawn up a floorplan. Hopefully I didn't just confuse you guys more and it actually makes sense... :)
