OH MY GOD I’M ACTUALLY WRITING THIS POST RIGHT NOW! Or, actually, I’M PUBLISHING THIS POST RIGHT NOW! It’s been a long time coming, I apologize you loyal readers!
I held off for a while because I really wanted my parent’s house to be DONE. I wanted to do it full justice and have complete “AFTERS” to show off. And while we’re not totally there yet, I would say things are about 90 – 95% done, which is really good. There are still things that need to go up on the wall here and there, books to be put on bookshelves, a room that is serving as storage for the time being, and you know, just little stuff about (and Wendy was mortified that I wouldn’t let her run around and put everything away – but I insisted that things be on the counter, etc. because that’s how we all live people!) But for the most part things are complete and my parents are happily living in their new house. My dad loves that he can ride his bike to work each day, they go out to eat on The Town all the time, Wendy has Zoe girl time on Mondays…it’s pretty awesome. I am a really, really lucky girl to have 3 of my 4 parents live within 15 minutes of me. Now we just have to convince my step dad to come over to this side of the Bay…
Okay, okay, okay, let’s get to those pictures. Yeeee! I’ll be doing a post later (probably in a month or two when I’m better able to get my life together after baby) with all the sources of paint colors we used, tile references, etc. So this post is really just about the Before & Afters of the interior (exterior B&A post to come later also – we still need to put up that address plate…)
There are SO MANY angles of photos I took. But these B&A posts honestly take about 90 minutes for me to write (and go through all the photos), and my parent’s house is fairly large, so for most spaces I’m just going to do the best one B&A angle. For the rooms that underwent the most I’ll include a couple more angles. Also a note, the Before shots are all from when we were doing our “inspection” of the house while the previous owners were in the process of moving out, that’s why things look so disheveled.
I think I’m going to start with some of the less exciting transformations first. So let’s start with the plentiful bedrooms.

And one last more. This cutie 😉
She insisted that the photos of her family be sitting around her while she ate her breakfast Monday morning 😉
Alright folks, there you have it! That was a lot of photos. Phew. I hope you like them! And I hope you like my parent’s house – I can’t believe it’s (basically) done!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
I think my next post will be next week – either in the morning on Monday before we head to the hospital, or a couple days later…after Little Football has arrived. Ahhhh!!!!! 🙂

There is so much to love, but I think I love the living room fireplace the best! Probably because it already looked nice in there, and I wasn't expecting it to make such a difference. The proportions look fantastic.
Best of luck with the birth, too! My third daughter was a scheduled c-section, after an emergency c-section with my second, and comparatively it was stress-free bliss. Everything is going to be great. 🙂
